Choosing where to live in Israel often depends on your level of religious observance. Orthodox, Sephardic, or Haredi families have different priorities regarding community, services, and proximity to synagogues.
1. Orthodox neighborhoods
Close to synagogues and religious schools.
Adapted services: kosher shops, mikvot, community centers.
Examples: certain areas of Jerusalem and Bnei Brak.
2. Sephardic neighborhoods
Vibrant communities respecting cultural traditions.
Close to Sephardic synagogues and cultural centers.
Examples: Netanya, Herzliya, some Tel Aviv areas.
3. Haredi neighborhoods
Majority strictly observant with complete religious infrastructure.
Community activities, schools, and centralized services.
Examples: Bnei Brak, parts of Jerusalem, Modiin Illit.
